People helping people

At Directions Credit Union, we are not only dedicated to improving the lives of our members, but of all those that live in our communities. Credit Unions were founded on the basic principle of “people helping people,” and each day we strive to continue that mission.

Directions gives back to the community through financial literacy education, in kind donations, scholarship support and more.

Children’s Miracle Network

Directions Credit Union unites with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to help sick and injured kids in local communities. Donations to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals create miracles by funding specialized medical care, research, and education that save and improve the lives of children. The annual Ohio Credit Unions: Marching Miles for Miracle Kids campaign raises money for the nine children’s hospitals that serve Ohioans, through events at credit unions and throughout communities around the state.

United Way

Directions Credit Union supports the United Way through generous giving annually. The United Way perfectly aligns with our mission of people helping people. They accomplish this by being a hub in our communities for those in need with their 211 services as well as supporting other nonprofits that give back to the community.

School Supply Drive

We annually collect supplies and cash donations for area schools. These donations are a huge help to our local schools and many families who struggle to provide supplies for their children each year.

Summer Reading Programs

Directions is proud to be a main sponsor of our local library's Summer Reading Programs. These programs are crucial for a child's learning process. Summer Reading helps to neutralize summer reading loss as well as foster an enthusiasm for reading! Other benefits include improved reading skills, self-esteem, comprehension, and memory skills.

Report Card Rewards

For every “A” or A equivalent received, we’ll deposit $1.00 to all members under the age of 18! (Up to a $5.00 deposit) To cash in, all youth members need to do is bring their report card to any Directions location during the month of June.
